Sometimes, after writing a piece of text, I belatedly realize that I have gone off in a whole new direction from the previous block. I would like to be able to highlight the text (whether single paragraph or multiple), right click the highlighted text, and see an option called “Convert to block”. At that point a new block would be inserted containing the text, with the block name to be entered by the author, defaulting to the first few words of the highlighted text.
This can help when outlining is an ongoing process rather than something that one does at the beginning of the work. It would also make moving blocks of text around far easier.
Hi, AJ. You can add Blocks to existing text. Click on the paragraph icon in the left margin. It’ll be a “T” if it’s a text paragraph. Then select “Add block”
